B3030HSD Sunshade

I"m taking delivery of my B3030hsd this week. I ordered the new sunshade (plastic), and my dealer told me that he had the older model in stock (metal with an underside of some kind of insulating material that he said should keep me a little cooler). He's giving me the metal sunshade for the same price as the plastic one goes for. Any disadvantages at all in going with the metal sunshade? It connects to the ROPS via several u-bolts.
