I'm looking at replacing my BX24TLB (about 400 hours) with a B3030 with cab and backhoe. It's a business buy...and I admit, I would like a bigger toy with a nice warm cab in the winter.

I discovered (though the salesman never mentioned it) that the BH76 doesn't appear to be available for the B3030HSDC. A salesman in ND advised that a Woods Bh70 would work very well on a cabbed B3030. The threads on the Woods vs Kubota backhoes are numerous and I think I've read them all... yet none indicate you can install a backhoe on a factory cabbed B3030HSDC.

My question is... anyone out there have a factory cabbed B3030 with a backhoe? If so, please let me know what issues (if any) you had with this setup. I'd prefer a BH76 over a Woods unit simply because I've come to trust the Kubota unit on my BX... and I've used it to max on many occassions. Also, another salesman indicated that Kubota is coming out with a cabbed B3000 series tractor for 2011. I'm not in a rush, but like any major purchase, you want the facts.

I've learned a lot with all the experience out there, so your thoughts and comments are more then welcome... please...

I bought a 4740 with cab. My dealership in NewBrunswick is very good and they recommended a Wallenstine. He said they make good equipment and they make one to fit tractors with a cab.

It doesn't look like the cab is going to keep you warm in the winter while using the hoe......

If it is cold enough to need a cab i am pretty sure the ground would be too cold as well.

I have a B3030HSDC with the woods BH70-X. The backhoe is a good fit for the weight of the tractor. I have no experience with the Kubota backhoe for this tractor, but can say I am very happy with the Woods

I traded up from the BX24, and was pleased with the extra power. As with the BX24, you can be limited by the weight (or lack of it) of the tractor. With loader, backhoe, and loaded tires, I think the weight of the B3030HSDC is getting close to 4500 pounds. As others have mentioned, the backhoe seat is outside of the cab.

The only downside I see to the backhoe mounted on this tractor is that it hangs quite far off the back, and so the departure angle for getting on ramps etc is low. Because of the cab, the subframe puts the backhoe quite far back, I think it might be the same with the Kubota backhoe, but you should check. The result is that when you go up or down a very steep ramp, the bottom of the backhoe can bottom out on the ground. Other times I have actually appreciated that the backhoe sticks out a little further off the back because it means the rear tires are farther from the edge of the hole you are digging something deep.
Hope this is helpful
Scott

Well folks, I thank you all for the info.

Ductape, you have a really sweet set up there and I'm now convinced to go ahead with my plan to replace the BX24. Now the money....hmmmmmmmm.:D

Anyway, I had the opportunity and time to stop at my Kubota dealer today and talked to the salesman about the B3030HSDC and backhoe. As it turns out, Kubota does have some plans for 2011.

The B3030HSDC will re-numbered to be the B3000 series tractors. They will have 2 cabbed models, a somewhat stripped out cab version, and a fully set up cab.

As well, they will have a new backhoe to accomodate the cab model. It'll be numbered BH77. It has it's own seat, so no back and forth and spinning about like on the BX TLB .

Bottom line.... 2011 is looking mighty good..... :)

Need more than pennies for that setup. But I must say having a heated cab in winter sure would be nice.
