B3350HSDC pto engagement lever

Maybe I'm just getting old but the lever to engage the pto seems to take a fair bit of effort (always has) to either engage or disengage. I know there is a detent to keep it disengaged to prevent accidental movement but it still seems to take more effort than the other lever controlled functions. Anyone else have this? I have lubed the **ll out of the linkage contact points and seems to help a bit. Any comments or suggestions as I don't see anyway to "loosen up" the linkage.

My B2650, which I believe is the same, pto engages with very little effort and disengages just as easily....sorry, can't offer any suggestions.

Appreciate the response. I pulled the hitch pin on the first connection where the lever in the cab attaches to the linkage. The lever moves quite easily so I guess the cab lever is not the problem. From here I'll remove the pin holding the linkage to the hst and see if maybe it is the valve on the hst or something else. If all else fails I'll have the dealer "fix" it under warranty. I'm thinking it is a misaligned piece somewhere.

Think I got it! After looking at the diagram of the parts from the Kubota website I noticed that the internal valve control is held in place on the right side of the valve body by a snap ring. After locating this on my tractor and drenching same in spray fluid film, the PTO engagement lever moves very freely..... Hopefully that solves the issue.....

Glad it works. Maybe it takes a bit for the attachment to load.
