On my way home from work this evening I spotted a B5200 for sale at the end of a driveway... I think you know where this is going... It was just too nice not to stop and look at! It is a B5200, 4X4, 500 hours, no attachments. It has been garage kept, and is in excellant condition. Has newer ag tires. The homeowner used it for pulling a cart around his property, and he is asking $2,000 obo. This sounds fair to me, but what do I know! My dilemma is: How much will I need to sink into a FEL for this tractor (if I can get one)??? I did a little research this evening, and it looks like Woods may have one. Anyone have an idea what these aftermarket loaders go for? And is $2,000 obo a pretty good deal?

Thanks!

That is a good deal. Unfortunately a new loader is gonna cost you close to 3k if you can get one for that tractor. I think Koyker makes one for that tractor. You could look for used but that could take a long time unless you could fab up a loader that came off a different tractor and make it fit.

I got a couple of quotes from local Woods dealers today. One is around $3,200 installed, the other is closer to $3,700 installed. If nothing else, thi sis a great little tractor to run around the property w/ no FEL. I can always throw on a 4' rotary cutter and mow the perimeter of the pastures w/ it.

Something else I was wondering... It has the narrow bar tires on it, and I know they also came w/ turf tires from the factory... is there an appropriate R4 size that can be used front and rear. The only reason I would imagine they couldn't be used would be interference/rubbing in the front. I don't know a whole lot abote the different tire sizes. Any guidance is appreciated!

looked at kubota.com / products / prior years, listed two models which started production in 1983, B5200E and B5200DT, both 13 HP, Gear.
It listed FEL for both as B1630, B1640 and LA300 and mower RC48-62A.
That's all the information that was there.

I used to have a B5200. It was small, but an excellent tractor. Back then, OEMs did not offer R-4s for small tractors. A loader would be around $3,000-$4,000. My tractor had the factory quick attach loader, which could lift 500 lbs, and not very high. But it was still handy. A 4' mower may be pushing it.
