Kubota B6100
Good morning
Heading out in a few days to take a look at a B6100 4wd with 40" tiller and FEL 1400 hours

Mainly run across positive things about this model, seems to be about the right size for my 2 acres of gardening and cleaning up
Was also looking at Yanmar 1500s

Anything to look out for? Advice? They are asking 4300
Does not appear to be a grey market, but are parts hard to find for these older Kubotas?

Thank You

Check for slop in the steering system and the axle hubs for tightness.

Parts are getting harder to get. There are some transmission and pto gears that haven't been available from Kubota for years now. So if you need something like that you'll be shopping salvage yards.

I gave my 1800 Hourr B7200 Away at $4,000 with loader, One happy buyer. A fair price would have been $5500. Your price is too high. Many parts no longer available. Find another tractor.

I sold a B6200 4wd Hydrostatic with belly mower and no loader for 4300 about 3 years ago. I never needed parts other than filters and blades as I recall the 2 years I owned it. It was a good tractor for mowing and snow removal.

Alot will tell itself when you go see and drive it. Look for excessive blow by from the breather tube. I pull the rad cap prior to starting to watch for bubbles and look for signs of oil in the antifreeze. These tractors were built like a tank, so if she wasnt abused, normal wear items should be all you would need. A FEL does put added stress on the front axle parts. Look it over like you would any other used piece of machinery, quiz the owner, put the tractor thru its paces and see how it does. If the owner has service records, ask to see them, espicaly for any major repair work. I am hoping to pickup an early B series with 4wd and ag tires on all four corners in the next couple of years.
