B6100HST and ROPS

I just purchased an ROPS from Kubota for my B6100HST and have an installation problem. The tractor has a mid-mount Kubota mower and the cables that raise the mower attach to linkage that is suspended from the top arms and attached to plates that are bolted onto each side of the PTO housing.

The ROPS instructions do not mention these plates and it does not appear that they can be re-installed once the ROPS is installed. The plates attach using the same six bolts on the side of the PTO housing that the ROPS uses. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Timg Some of the older Kubotas had one ROPS for tractors with the mid mount mower and one ROPS for the same tractor without the mower. You should double check with your dealer and see if they offer a ROPS for the 6100 with a mid mount. I have run into this same problem at our dealership. But I dont recall if the 6100 is one of these models.

I checked with the Kubota dealer and found that there were two different mid-mount mowers. One with lift rods that hooked to the lower arms and one(like mine) that uses cables attached to the upper arms via a linkage assembly. The dealer didn't ask for the mower serial number and simply ordered the wrong ROPS. He now has the correct ROPS on the way.
