B62004x4 HST troubles

newbie here, 1st tractor too,
i purchased what seemed to be a functioning tractor. it drives good, power steering works, hydrostat works both ways, 3pt hitch lifts and lowers, even a nice 48" mower deck, and pto both work.

the trouble is it only works good for a few minutes, then i get a whine from the hydrostat area? i think, and it will not move, i have changet the hyd oil 5 times to try to remove what looked like a milky shake. the oil is better in appearance now, but still no better performance. did change the hyd filter too

where is the suction screen on this unit?,

is there more than one hyd filter?

Also, once it runs for a while, i get excess oil from the breather on top of the rear drive housing.........???? am i looking at a bad pump or worse? no books on this machine here yet, HELP

The milk shake is from water! It does take several times to get it out at best. It unfortunately sounds like it was let go to long with it in the tractor. You might just have a relief valve that is sticking do to the rust?

I did change the oil with new a/w 46 5 times now, new filter too.
i did find the suction screen, YUCK....it was jam packed with slimey goop.
it is clean now, new oil, new filter, how can i loosen a stuck relief valve?

i did not know it had a second strainer. cleaned it and changed filter/oil again (6th)
