My son has a small dirtbike track out back, I have been using my tiller to 'groom' it a bit (loosen the hardpack) but am thinking of saving some wear and tear on my tiller. The rippers on a boxblade look like they would do a pretty good job. A guy is selling a KK bb60 for $300 (says he paid $500 new). This 60" is about 1 foot wider than my tractor and has 5 rippers. Does the ol' b7100 have the grunt for this or would a 4' be better?

Thanks,
Charles

Charles, my 1995 B7100 was an HST transmission and it had a 4' bucket on the FEL. I first tried a 5' box blade, but it was a cheap one with welds that broke, and while it would work in some circumstances, it really wasn't ideal, so I bought a pretty heavy duty, Monroe Tufline 4' box blade. So . . ., in my opinion, you can use the 5' box blade (you don't have to lower all the ripper teeth at a time), but a 4' would be much better.

Awful lot of cash for a 5' boxblade.

Just my opinion.
