I have a B7100D vintage mid 1970's with a loader and a 4520B backhoe.

I have got manuals for the tractor and the backhoe but I can't find a model number for the loader, therefore no
manuals.

Any one have any ideas how to figure out the model number??

Lot of times the ID tag on the loader post left hand side mid way or near the bottom, also your ID number maybe engrave on th loader.

I have a late '70s B6100D with a Kubota FEL and the model number is on a plate on the inside of the left-hand FEL upright post. Mine is a B-216. I have the manual for it.

B-219 rings a bell now.
I'll look when I get home and if it's the same model. If it is, I have the manual and will be glad to share any info you need from it until you get yours. As I recall, the majority of the manual was dedicated to 1) the obligatory pages of safety warnings and 2) several pages of installation instructions. There are some pages with specifications for the unit and basic use techniques and maybe one page on routine maintenance. Best part of the manual is the parts list and exploded diagram. It wasn't expensive and it's worth it. But it took a while for it to come in to the Kubota dealer and he had trouble finding the part number for a B-219 manual. At least I can help you with that.

Thanks for all your help. I did a search on this board for B-219 and found a post of yours from 10/2000 that
described my FEL exactly. Fuild in the post, no visible filter, etc...
I was going to order the manual to round out my set, in case I needed any parts.

Are there any specs in the manual, I was wondering what the lift capability is. It sometimes seems underpowered
I guess I have to remember it's a compact tractor!! Bucket curl seems particularly weak. I find that it will hold up
quite a bit more than it will lift. I have lifted several large pieces of granite with a chain fall in my barn, hooked
them up to the loader and drove them to the location quickly.

Dave:

Here are the specs from the manual:

Lift Capacity at Full Height ................................................. 530 lbs.
Breakout Capacity ............................................................ 875 lbs.

Loader Weight (Less Bucket) .............. 430 lbs.
B272 38" Bucket .............. weight 115 lbs ............struck capacity 4.75 Cu. Ft.
B273 48" Bucket .............. weighe 125 lbs ............struck capacity 5.75 Cu. Ft.

Fluid Capacity, Pump and Reservoir ....................... 6 1/2 Qts.
Pump Rated Flow .......................... 6 GPM at 2700 RPM
System Pressure ................. 800 PSI at 7.5 GPM (loader relief valve setting for open-center system)

I have the dimensional data too which I'll scan and send you if you want it.

530 lbs corelates with experience. Lifting my buddy and I together.
Do you know the definition of breakout capacity??

Don't bother with dimensions, I am going to order the manual

Every been tempted to play with the Hydraulics? 800 psi seems low to me, The backhoe
operates at 2000 psi.

Thanks again for your help, It's nice to know someone with roughly the same machine. If I can help in any way
let me know.

Dave:

The definition of Breakout Force was discussed in <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=owning&Number=56645&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1#Post56645> this thread </A>.

I think basically it's the combined force of the lift and curl applied simultaneously.

I haven't played with the hydraulic pressure. Not sure that the pump capacity is much more than the relief valve setting anyway.
