B7100D 4WD 3 cyl. mid 1960's hour meter has never worked

All of a sudden white smoke pouring out of exhaust and immediate loss of power like now only running at 20% of original power. Smoke does not smell like antifreeze, smoke is not pure white more of a dirty white but not dark like oil/diesel burning.

What I have done to date with no luck. Fresh fuel, sea foam additive, replaced fuel filter, fuel lines, fuel pump, had injectors rebuilt. Replaced head gasket adjusted valves.

What would you do next? What other questions can I answer for you? FYI: I have not had the fuel injector pump rebuilt or replaced the rings.

Before this happened it ran perfect, with only a little dark smoke that seemed normal for a diesel. Plenty of power and ran smooth. By the way I have owned this tractor for 30 years and the only other problem I have had was to rebuild the starter motor.

White smoke can only be either water, low compression or leaking injectors. So if your not loosing coolant, then need to do a compression test, and then have injectors tested.

What did the pistons look like when the head gasket was replaced?

After thinking some more on this comment, I would say its compression. If there was a leaking injector with good compression, you would have power but show white smoke.

around the piston closest to the dashboard was a little damp. Fuel injectors were rebuilt by pro shop. I was not loosing coolant.

This further confirms to me that it is a compression issue. If the injection pump was weak there would be less power and no smoke. If the pump was working correctly there would be full power and no smoke. If there is insufficient compression, then less power and there is smoke. Finding the piston to be wet (as in diesel) then not enough compression to get full burn of the fuel

You can verify by pulling injectors and doing a compression test

My Diesel 4WD did the same thing and it was two worn out injectors and two on the way out, lots of white smoke and no power.

Gary.. While the engine is running & billowing white smoke.. loosen the line at each injector 1@ a time & look at the smoke..& retighten.
Chances are u can narrow it down to "A" cylinder & start from there..
Its not uncommon for an injector nut to work loose & drown a cylinder..or water to blow the tip off.. so check that procedure..
Good luck..

Is that dangerous with pressures involved or is that only with common rail, I don't claim to be an expert but my mechanic told me that common rail can take your fingers off, and I do realise that the tractor in question is not common rail (do Kubota have any common rail?).
