well the smoke came out of the factory regulator, an the battery wont charge, ok call kubota...wow, i wonder if they are smokin crack? aint no way i'm paying that for a 4 wire regulator.

got a nice little 50V 25A full wave bridge rectifier for bout $5.00 from the local radioshack, yep the charging system is workin again.

question is to youall that know more bout this "lektrik" stuff than me, how to shut it off at saaay 14.5v? it ran uparound 18v when i tested at full throttle...thats kinda hot for the battery aint it?

any low budget circuit i could cobble together? what other rectifier/regulators have you guys repurposed?

hey happy new yer to yer

can you supply the part number off the regulator. on most of these units it is a rectifier regulator combo and yes 18+ volts is going to blow up your battery and may cause a fire also by some chance did someone try to boost off the tractor and possible hook up cables backwards this is a common problem that burns up these reg/rectifiers
