B7100HST 3 Point Hitch releif valve shims.

Are these Kubota specific?

My 3 Point Hitch relief valve kicks in at a little below 1500 PSI, but is rated for 1700 PSI. With its anemic 400 LB lift rating, the 3PH on this tractor needs every last little bit, so I want to get it back to rated pressure. Need I go to the dealer on this, or can I use something that I can buy at the local hardware store?

I know on the L series they were just using small #6 # 8 #10 washers to shim. I'm not sure if your tractor uses the same. Not sure what that would cost you at the dealer.

Get the shims at the dealer so you have the right stuff - couldn't be more that $5.00.

Use a 3000 # gauge on the pressure side so you know where you are - don't just throw in a handful of shims and hope for the best as pumps are fairly spendy.

I already have a 3000# gauge with quick connects, and it is inline with my power beyond loop. This is how I know that the relief valve is set too low.

I called Messick's today, and spoke with the service tech. He didn't know of any Kubota part numbered shim. He said that they just get thin washers "off the shelf", but that their no official Kubota parts. I have some .010" shim stock that I think I'll cut some shims from. I read a thread elsewhere on here that stated .010" should give about a 40 PSI boost. I'll try one, and see how much boost, and then do the math to estimate what I need. The relief valve on my loader is set to 1700 PSI, so if I put too much shim in, the relief valve on the loader will limit the pressure passed on to the 3PH.

I don't think so, 110 is the washer for the 4 cap bolts holding the "head" on.
