If you guys remember the other forum a few weeks ago I was looking for a belly mower for the like new (117 original hour) B7200 Well I got tired of hunting and of course impatient and decided to build something out of what I had here. My tractor was never equipped with a belly mower so first I took the front pto assembly with reversed drop box off of my fathers b8200 tractor. Second I located a b8200Hydro deck(just as nice as my tractor never used and stored indoors) not too far away. through some close research and measurement I figured out that the actual mounts on the RC60-72 and Rc60-82H are with in MMs So I used this. I didn't want to mess with building the four mount brackets so I bought four new from kubota dealer. I reversed the gearbox and was able to take the drive shaft off of that tractor and cutt it off at the base and take the one we have here from a Rc60-25(long story that involes my fathers tractor and previous owner, New story) and cut it to size and weld it in place. If you very carefully cut the welds off at the base of the shaft it willf all out and give you a place to insert the new shaft to be welded and have a nice straight balanced shaft again, but this time the right length. I was able to modify the brackets I got with the mower deck to fit my application. I took my time here and tacked this and tried that. I did not want any tension or wear points when the mower deck was installed. I then Took all my pieces I fabbed into our body shop and finshed the welds and primed and used XoXo orange paint. It is amazing how close the orange paint is to my older but still shiny B7200. The only mods I have left are I have to finish the install on my front pto drop box. I had a hard time holding the unit and stepping the drill to the proper size. A Pinched drill bit and blood shed and of course a little $&#*$& I decided to wait until tomorrow until I can put it into vice. Once I finish this I should Be able to try it out and then move on to the install of power steering. Thanks.

I will post pictures for sure. My wife and I went out for our anniversary tonight so I did not get to finish it. We went to the bedford springs, which just reopen after its 90 billion remodel. I guess 20 years of vacany will do that. Check it out www. bedfordspringsresort.com it is 7 miles from my place. Anyway I'll get some pictures of the project tomorrow. I've been wanting to post pictures of it anywat.

Yeah, they are pretty similar except for the obvious reasons. During my research I actually found out that it was easier to use a RC60-82H deck than a RC60-72H deck. If I used the 72H I would have had to move brackets but with that 82H deck it actuall mounted exactly the same as my 72 mower deck. Pretty crazy but a little research does pay off. Isn't crazy how clean this tractor is for 20 years old? I could even imagine laying under the tractor and waxing the frame, but hey I'm glad the original owner did.
