- Kubota BX22 that was left to me by a dear friend. B7300 w/MMM
I have a B7300 with a D722 engine. It has 2128 hours on it. It was leaking fuel from the top of the injector pump from under the plunger flanges. Following the post here that "You CAN repair an injector pump" I replaced the orings on the plungers. After putting everything back together, bleeding the fuel lines at the injectors the tractor runs fine, cranks as it always has and the top of the injector pump is dry. NOW.....I've got a problem and Ive absolutely no clue whats going on......There is diesel fuel leaking from the starter when the engine is running. Its not just a drip every now and then....its LOTS of drips all the time. I see nothing leaking up high where the injectors are on the head and running down. I removed the starter and the flywheel is wet with diesel. The higher the rpm of the engine the fuel from the starter slows down. The lower the rpm the more fuel leaks from there starter. The tractor cranks, runs fine and normal smoke from exhaust when it fires up. There doesn't seem to be fuel getting in to the engine oil either.
Anyone have an idea of what might be happening??
Thanks
