I am purchasing a tractor in the next 30 days and today I received the following quotes from a Maryland dealer:

B7500, Hydro, 60"MMM, LA302 FEL w/48" bucket, R4's...$15,500

BX2230, 60"MMM, LA211 FEL w/48"bucket, ag tires...$12,600

Good prices? Bad prices??

I tried to price at a NC dealer but the sales rep told me that Kubota recently required their dealers to only sell within the state in which they are located.

I just purchased a similar tractor 2 months ago, in Texas.
B7500 Hydro,60"MMM, LA272 FEL,R4's, 4'Shredder, 4'Boxblade .........$15000.

And it is the greatest tool I have ever used.

Good luck.

Viking you are pricing 2 totally DIFFERENT types of tractors.

What are you going to use the tractor for?

Usually when people price tractors they price SIMILAR machines from DIFFERENT manufactuers, but you priced DIFFERENT machines designed to be used for different applications from the SAME manufacturer. Someone in the market for a BX.... should compare it to a Massy CG2300 or a NH TZ24. Those are all similar tractors designed for similar tasks. On the other hand, a B7500 is similar to a NH TC18 or TC21.

So, before you make up your mind on which tractor to buy, and to potentially end up with the wrong tractor, decide what you want to do with the tractor. Then compare similar competing tractors within that same type of tractor.

I understand that are are different machines, I have tested them both, thank you. All I need is the BX2230 but I want more machine because I can, fortunately, afford a little more machine at this time and there is more room for my 6'5" 290lb body on the B7500. I think I know what I need, I'm just looking for the best price.

I checked out the MF GC2300 and it is a very nice machine but my local MF dealer does not have a good reputation in town and his prices are very high. I have to travel 35 miles to find another MF dealer and there are 3 Kubota dealers closer to me. Orange will be my color if the price is right.

I was not trying to offend you, which it seems like I did do. I was simply pointing out something that seemed very odd. And still seems very odd. I don't even understand why you posted it as you did, because the BX will be cheaper all other things being equal in any comparison.

And from your answer, I think the answer is pretty obvious as to what you want to buy, and may even have the money to buy. And you say you have 3 local Kubota dealers, I would suggest that price is not the only factor. I would buy from the one who treated me best and offered a competitive price.

No offense taken at all Bob. Thanks for your reply. As I said before, all I really need is a BX2200 but I will be more comfortable on the B7500 and get more ground clearance as well. I have pricing info from one dealer and I just wanted to throw it out in this forum and see how my numbers stack up. Thanks again.

I thought Viking65 was asking which of the prices might be the better deal for the tractor in question...

As compared to trying to compare between the two tractors.

Still, it seems like if one would not fit on a small tractor, then whatever the price...however good a deal...it would not make sense to buy that tractor...

As I type this I can not remember is someone pointed him to the B series pricing table that WillC put up [hope I got the WillC right... I am not at home so I do not have the link handy...]

For reference I paid $10,500 for a bx2200 with 60 inch mmm, HD alternator and block heater a couple months ago. That was with zero percent financing...I thought I should have paid a few hundred less but it was the best I could find at the time...

Viking, I knew right where you were coming from. I was in the same spot about a year and a half ago. I'm an inch shorter and only a couple pepperoni pizzas lighter. There were several tractors being considered before settling on the B7500. A BX2200 would have been more tractor than I really NEEDED. I just felt more comfortable on the B7500, and liked the ground clearance and 3PH capabilities.

But to answer your question, in the Spring of 2002, my B7500HST/302FEL was $12,800....................chim

I bought my B7500HST about 2 months ago with a 302 FEL for 12,400. I would not trade it for anything right now. It's got plenty of power. I kinda wished I got a Backhoe with mine though. I seen one on the back of a trailer the other day and I wanted it.
