Once again....I return from the dealership wondering if he knows what a Kubota is:eek:

Simple question I thought, but the more he stumbled through the answer, the more confused he seemed to get:D

Question:

B7510 MMM, FEL, geared transmission- I would like to put a front mount snowblower on it.

Is it possible to leave the snowblower frame on and still mount and use the FEL?

My hope is that I would be able to dis-mount the FEL, connect the Snowblower to its frame (already in place) and when done, or need arises- to switch out the snowblower and re-mount the FEL.

Am I asking for too much versatility? Or is it possible to do this?

If this is possible, what model number would work (the dealer wasn't too sure that a front snowblower was even available for the B7510:confused:)

...and yes.....I'm trying to find another dealership to work with!!!

I know that a snowblower can be mounted at the same time as a loader on the B7510/B7610. I'm not quite so sure if the loader can be operated with the quick hitch in place, but I think it can. Someone like Killer_B could answer that, so you might search on his threads, or drop him a PM. I'm sure other's have experience with this as well. I'm posting a couple of photos that other members have posted here in the interest of answering your question. You can see the mount, and basically how it attaches. Two of the photos were taken by Killer_B, and I'm sorry that I don't know who to give credit to for the third one. There are two snowblowers available for that series tractor. The 50" one that is also used on the BX series, and a 51" that is somewhat heavier duty. The two pictures at the right show the BX blower.

I'm not trying to deter you if you have some particular plan in mind......... but in all honesty, once I put my blower on at the beginning of winter, i never need it again till spring. No need to worry about using the loader to knock the snowbanks back....... just blow them back. Waaaaaaaay back.

Of course, if you are scooping manure in the winter, it might be a different story.;)

Howdy Ductape!

In all honesty- pure laziness. Want as much versatility as possible without the work. I even tried to get my wife to do the work.....oh well:D

I have been working on quotes the past couple of days......last one 9for everything needed minus the powered chute and deflector) was about 4000.00:eek:

by the way- i'm still working on the Yanmar tiller. I should have it ready for this spring....I hope:confused: I'l post pictures once i get it running.

I understand wanting the versatility...... BUT, i do know people who obsess over thinking they can't live without the loader all winter. I've never seen a definitive answer here on being able to use the loader with the quick hitch still attached, though i think its unlikely they will not interfere. Granted its just my opinion...... but the Kubota front blowers are snow eating machines. I do several of my neighbor's driveways, and just plain never need my loader. In an emergency situation, removing the quick hitch / PTO shaft only takes ten minutes. I'd just hate to see anyone talk themselves out of Kubota's front blower over it. I'm on my second, and couldn't be happier. If the price starts to get out of your range, I've seen several nice examples for sale within driving distance on CL and Ebay recently.

Definitely take pictures of the tiller when you get it going. I hope i can buy a five footer of some sort before spring planting!

It was nice meeting you guys!

I have a B7800 with the front mount 60" snowblower. It uses a subframe that holds the shaft from the mid-PTO to the front and the front hinged hitch. My incompatibility is between that subframe and the subframe for my Woods backhoe. So, I have to switch each Spring/Fall.

But, you can operate the FEL with the snowblower subframe in place. You have to put the front hinged hitch all the way up, disconnect its hydraulic lines, and then connect the FEL's. You lose a lot of ground clearance with the subframe and you can push that front hinged hitch into dirt/gravel/etc. if that's what you are working with. Needs cleaning afterwards. The clearance between the FEL all the way down and the hydraulic cylinder on the subframe is tight. I've sheared off one line's attachment once and my wife did the other once. It's an easy repair so long as you don't ruin the hose at the same time.

My summary is that you should NOT do it for laziness. Too much to go wrong. It is the shoulder season when we still need to move gravel but I don't want the subframe off in case we get an early snow that I do it for. Putting on that subframe outside (yeah, no barn/garage) in a foot of snow is no fun at all. Don't ask why I know.

Again I have to agree with Ductape! I was one of those guys that did not want to be without the FEL so I purchased a 3pt hitch blower so I have my FEL. I am not complaining as it was also the cost that drove me that way, but I know the next one will be a front mount and the FEL will find a place to rest during the winter months.

O.K.- so maybe laziness wan't the best term to use. I fall into the same category of not having a garage or barn to mount/dismount things on the tractor.

That being said, and listening to all of your comments, I would tend to agree that given my current needs- leaving the Snowblower on all winter would work.

Wouldn't be the first time I had to do work on the tractor in the snow if the change is needed.

Besides, I know better than to ask my wife to let me build a barn....she might say yes, and I would end up enjoying to company of my tractor when I sleep in it.......
