B7510 HST Starting Problem

Kubota B7510 HST
Tractor wouldn't start, let it set a day and it started. Started fine for 3 weeks. Now, for the last two weeks I can't get it to start. Crossed selanoid, and checked all 5 safety switches. Haven't checked the starter or key switch. Any suggestions. The dealer said that it might be a dirty connection, but I cleaned with a file and wd40 and they seem to be fine. Any suggestions are appreciated it.

Does it just not turn over? Does the relay or fuel pump click? Or is it doing nothing at all? Any more info you can give may help with suggestions.

It clicks when you turn the key to warm the glow plugs, but from there it does nothing

I assume it started when you used a jumper wire from the battery to the solenoid. If so, then it could be low voltage to the solenoid. That was the problem on my F2400. I put a relay in the solenoid circuit and the problem was solved. The SPDT switch is optional. Relays and sockets are available at most auto electric stores.

Try grounding the battery to the engine block. My L3650 had the same problem and it turned out to be that the usual ground to the frame was not solid enough. Try it with a jumper cable first to see if it make a difference.

I'll try that tomorrow and see if it helps. If not, I'll look into the relay.

Rock your HST pedal and allow it to find it's neutral position. Often these switches are the culprit and can be resolved with foot movement or hand movement to allow the switch's safety position to reposition itself. They can be delicate or cantankerous but be patient. There are a lot of posts on this issue, if indeed this is the problem.

It sure sounds like a safety switch to me. I am not aware of anyone having a low voltage problem with a B7510.

I second the HST AND the PTO lever issue...both happened to me...

Is the battery fully charged and properly grounded to the frame?:confused:
