this is embarrassing, but here it goes.
i have a 2 yr old 7510 with 68 hours. i am not familiar w/tractors at all, but here is my problem. my bush hog is stuck in the lowered position, on the ground. the lever will not hardly move at all. when i checked with the dealer he told me check the fluid stick just underneath my feet to see if it had gotten water in it. it was bone dry. i have misplaced the tractor manuals so i am not sure if this is tramsmission fluid or hydraulic fluid and where to refill it. i have ordered new manuals for the trator but any help right now would be appreciated. i can't even load the tractor on the trailer for service because the bush hog is dragging the ground.

The dipstick between your legs is for the transmission fluid level which is also used for the tractors hyd's. The level should between the 2 little notches on the dipstick. This can sometimes be hard to read because the fluid is clear. Use a clean paper towel and lay the dip stick on it's side to try and read the level. The fill plug is a rubber plug behind the seat next to a u-shaped vent tube.

I have no way to know how low the level is, but can guess that if you can't operate the hyd to raise the bush hog then the level is pretty low. The 7510 holds about 4 gals of hyd fluid for both the hyd's and the transmission. I would not be driving it until I got the level to where it needs to be.

I would also look to see if you can locate if you have a leak somewhere. Not sure if you bought the tractor new or used. But at 50 hours the hyd/transmission fluid was to be changed. Did you buy it new?

I am attaching a link which shows the various drain plug locations for the B model Kubota's which you can use to see if any of them are leaking. I'd try and locate the leak before I put more hyd/tranny fluid in your tractor.

Best of luck.
