Hi all, just received a new 7510 on Friday. After 3 hours backhoe & loader mixed operation the main boom on backhow started to "stutter" a little and I found I had a hydraulic fluid leak where the line exits the pump -- right where the fitting enters the pump body. (probably had about 2.5 hours on the backhoe when I noted the leak)

Lost quite a bit of fluid, and now the boom won't raise. I'll have to call my dealer Tuesday for service. I'm not too knowledgable about hydraulic hoses & fittings, but there seems to be a threaded fitting that comes out of the pump, and a 90 deg. fitting is attached to that. The 90 deg attaches on the other end to the hose fitting. When I try to tighten the fitting on the pump, of course the whole hose wants to turn with it. I'm going to assume these fittings have a recommended torque -- do I need a good torque wrench to work on my tractor?

Any thoughts or comments? Are there other things I should be wary of on my way to the 50 hour service?

In case anyone cares -- the problem was a separated o-ring at the fitting coming out the pressure side of the hydraulic pump on the back-hoe. Dealer came out, replaced the o-ring and topped the fluid. I guess I have a good dealer, the fluid they had with them didn't fill the tank all the way, but when I visited the store they gave me a jug for free.

Bob, it is a good idea to check your quick connect couplers every once in a while and to have some spare "O" rings on hand. They don't give out all that often, but when they do you can see the result. Its amazing how a 10-cent part can shut down a whole machine, but if you nick one of those "O" rings it will eventually break and cause you grief.

Enjoy the new machine and don't let your wife see you smiling while you use it, she'll think you are not working hard enough.

Bob-

Bonehead here. Say, what dealer did you buy your Kubota from? I bought mine from Issaquah Honda/Kubota. Were you satisfied with the dealers response to your fluid leak problem.

Thanks in advance.
