Like the title says, I've got a hitch problem. It will go up but not down. I was having an problem with the hitch not going down when I noticed the lever roll pin was coming out. I pushed it back in but it still nothing. It seems like the neutral/center is where the down position was. I pulled the seat bracket, seat, other hardware off to get a better look at things and it seems like it's all internal from the control shaft on. Is there something I might be missing before I pull the cover off?

P.S. I looked at a maintenance diagram that shows a control valve on the other side of the lever, but i'm not seeing it on mine soooo

That's the same maintenance diagram I was looking at. On page 249 it shows the control valve, I'm going to assume it's under the cover if i'm looking at it correctly. Any words of wisdom before I crack her open?

Before I took it apart I would make sure that knob is open. It's the rate of fall. Then I would take the roll pin out, pull lever off and then try turning the shaft to see if it well go up and down.

Yeah, I've done all that before posting. There's something going on with the linkage. It lifts when placed in the center/neutral and the neutral is where the lower position was. It hits the stop before ever moving far enough to go down. I'm going to pressure wash the dirt off sometime today and pull it apart, I just thought someone might have run into this before.

This is the top cover flipped over. I don't see anything loose, broke, missing, etc. The hex head plug looks backed out, but i'm
not sure if it is or not. It seems snug but could be jammed, IDK. Any ideas??

Take off the lever arm then move spool in by hand. Then see if the hole in the arm well line up with the spool when pushed in. It kind of looks like the arm is bend and might hit the housing.

Oil up the feed back shaft when you get it back together.

I had a chance to pull it apart today and everything moves freely. I've ordered a service manual so hopefully that will answer some questions when it comes in.
