Mowing b7800 mid pto kit?

Can I add a mid pto on a b7800 if not originally equipped? Looking to downsize by getting rid of a zturn

Yes you can. Tractor has to be split to install some parts. It will not be cheap.

I have a B7800 with a rear finish mower (RFM) I find the RFM to be much easier to install and remove than the belly mower on the old tractor ever was. In some ways it is more maneuverable than a belly mower (OK, in some ways less maneuverable too). Generally has a much lower cost.

I looked into having one installed on mine. I checked with 2 dealers and both estimates came in around the $400 mark. Added to the cost of the belly mower, I decided to go with the rear-mount and never regretted it. The rear-mount is easy to install/remove, service, and clean. :2cents:

I purchased my B7510 with a Land Pride 4' finish mower. It has been a good unit. It was not that easy to attach until I installed a quick hitch. I acquired a used 54" mid mount mower. For the yard I prefer the mid mount. For open areas or really tall thick stuff I use the rear mower. I can attach either one in about the same time now that I have the hang of it.

If I did not have a mid pto I would stick with the rear mower. It is easy to clean and service. I prefer the rear discharge of the rear mower rather than the side discharge of the mid mount. The slicker the top of the deck of the mower the fewer clippings that accumulate making it easier to clean.

The thing about the mid mount is I can attach my 3 point spray rig to mow and spray at the same time. The rear pto turns at 9600 when mowing so I have to adjust my pressure control on the spray rig to not burst a hose.
