b7800 & starting issues

I was cutting with my brush hog this summer when I hit a groundhog hole. It stopped the tractor dead. It must have screwed up a safety switch, because even after I disengaged the pto, I still couldn't get it to start. I jumped it to bypass all saftey switches. The problem that I have now is that every once in awhile the tractor doesn't start. Nothing is engaged, and I have to do the same thing. Any ideas where to start to solve the problem?

When I had a similar problem with my B7800 I checked each of the safety switches with an ohmmeter to find the problem switch - it turned out to be the HST pedal and not a switch -but, you could also jumper each of the switches until the engine starts and locate the problem in that way. This is one of those maybe not cause and effect situations. Several people on this forum has had a problem with their B7800 not restarting while doing something specific or it just not starting after parking it. I am one of them. The belief is that what they were doing caused it to quit and not start which seems reasonable. I think most have come to the conclusion that the rocker foot pedal has to be in dead center and does not always come back to dead center on it's own. My first time I thought it was the seat safety switch which I unplugged and then plugged it back in, got on tractor and it started. Next time I had stopped to take a phone call and was on a down hill grade. It wouldn't restart. Let it rock a little and it restarted. Thought it must have a dead spot on the starter. Believe now the problem was the foot pedal was not centered. After always rocking foot pedal to center before trying to start it never had another problem.
