Mowing B7800 vs L3430 both about 35HP

Not sure what grand L means. This one has 4WD, Loader, GST, Open Cab. 2100 hrs. Finding out he never has changed the transmission fluid in it. Not sure if that is an issue or not. He does change the oil in the engine on a regular basis. The ones with the cab are twice as much as the ones with the open cab.

Used tractors are seldom "perfect". Changing engine oil is more important than changing transmission oil. If you buy this L3430 I would grease the FEL and chassis then change ALL fluids and ALL filters shortly after getting tractor home. I would do same after purchasing any used tractor.

L is the first letter of the model number. Grand denotes a premium model vs an economy model. Currently it's Lxx60 denoting a grand. The previous grands ended in 40 or a 30.

Oh for pity sake -- buy the whole kit and kubootle ! With 44 acres you will find all kinds of use for first one and then the other tractor. Run one with the belly mower and the other with bush hog, etc. The loader capability is worth the price of all that $10K package. Nothing prevents you selling some of it off later if you find you never use it. You end up with stuff you can use on either tractor. Besides other things, you will end up with FAR MORE knowledge of the two machines and the implements than you have now. You canthenmake a much better decision as to what to keep or sell off.

I already have the B7800. I already told the guy I would buy the L3430 and implements. At this point I need to make sure the tractor is in decent shape before closing the deal. You can never have too many implements.

I bought a L3430 GST with 350 hrs with loader for $14000 a few years ago. It now has 750 hrs. Not one bit of trouble. I'm convinced I could sell it today for what I have in it. Fine machines. You will like the one you bought.
