B7800 tractor and loader

I just moved up from my 17HP Iseki to a 29 HP B7800 Kabota. It has a loader model LA402-1. This tractor was used for cleaning up horse manure so they bought the cheap loader. The bucket does not detach from the loader frame. I bought the tractor for snow removal. Does anyone have this loader with a plow attached to it?

Update: I went to the local Kabota dealer. First it is a B7800. It was built in 2004 before the quick disconnect tool attachments on the loader arms. They talked about converting my existing loader to a two lever quick disconnect, installing a weld on plate on my existing bucket. Then all the new attachments would fit on my old tractor. Has anyone else did this? They want gold for all these parts, I for a moment thought I was talking to John Deere. My goal is a snow plow.

The SSQA components weigh over 100 pounds, which will be payload you lose.




Perhaps "Edge Tamers" or "Snow Edge" bucket attachments are worth considering.

The LA402 isn't/wasn't a cheap option. That is, there were no other loaders for the B7800 that I'm aware of. I have put on over 1,000hrs on my B7800 with the LA402 and it's not cheap in any way. Quick attach wasn't really there in that era, especially not on a lower-cost tractor such as the B7800. The silly quarter-inching three point control is what I'd call cheap. (one reason I'd never but a tractor such as this again; but, I still won't give up my B7800 as it's indestructible)

B7800s are LIGHT, even with ballasted rears. I have to wonder how effective one would be as a snow-plow. And as Jeff mentions, the quick attach is going to cost you in lift capacity (added weight).

Can you use manual snow plow also attach the plow to your bucket?

Over the years I had B7100HST with 7' snow plow and it did great job removing snow,also L2800HST with 7 1/2 snowplow attach to bucket,I would pull 2 pins to remove snow plow for bucket use...addlittle rear ballast and loaded rear tires also tire chains should be okay.

Are the quick attachment plates standardized? Will the quick attachment tools from a John Deere fit on a Kabota?

Time for you to change tractor in your T-B-N PROFILE from Iseki to Kubota B7800

Any attachment marketed as "SSQA" (Skid Steer Quick Attach) will couple to a loader plate marketed as "SSQA".




I may be incorrect here, not having owned a Deere for a long time, but I do not believe Deere uses the SSQA industry standard.

BXpanded has a bucket mounted snowplow option.

When I bought my B7800 in 2005 the only option that was offered was the top & tilt which I bought. If there had been the quick attach or a bigger bucket I would have bought them for sure.
