I have a question. What is the function of the unit on the back of my 5105 tractor which seems to all be related? I have highlighted three parts of it. photo (11).JPG Ed Hahnenberg

The highlighted mechanism is the top link bracket that can move with load on 3 pt. The movement especially if center link is in lower hole activates linkage on tractor for draft(position) control to help keep a constant load on engine. This is mainly utilized for plowing but can be utilized with a rear blade.

Tx Jim...Thanks. I kind of thought that it had something to do with that. I did some plowing with a single bottom plow Saturday, creating a V furrow to plant asparagus roots. Two of my sons threw the plants in two rows to match my picker. Now I have a 150 gallon sprayer on the top link. It will be carrying 1200 lbs of water plus the weight of the sprayer. Here's a picture of the picker with my sons, on an older field. 077.JPG
