Mahindra 3550PST Cab
Had my 3550 PST with cab about 3 weeks and fuel line that goes to the secondary filter (the one on left side of engine thats sets low screw on filter)starting leaking right where the line goes in to the bandjo fittling. Had about 10 hrs on it when I got it has 32 on it now. Starting to wonder if I made the right joice. Had a Kubota M6800 bought new 20 yrs ago and never had a problem just normal things. Well did have to replace the water pump on it years ago. I see that the dash they got on these is cheap plastic. And it also what hold set rpm on manual throttle when you set it at the pto rpm. It is not a bad tractor. Getting older and got tired of breathing all the dust and fitting off these dam wasps, yellow jackets and bees around here. A little disappointed in it right now. Took it back to the dealer 80+miles Monday afternoon. I sure they have to order a fuel line.

A leak where the line goes in to the bandjo fitting isn't a big deal IMO.. Could happen to any brand machine. 80 miles is a pain though, you don't have any other brand dealer closer to you? Personally I would not buy a new tractor from a dealer 80 miles away, to far to bring back and forth..

If that's the only problem you have with it, consider yourself lucky..

BE GLAD, it's something that minor. The troubles customers of mine have had with numerous brands of NEW LUXURY autos is disturbing. TOO much stuff and too many devils in the details.

Tractors are not like an 8N tractor anymore.

Not sure how mechanically inclined you are, but there have been a couple times that the dealer has replaced a part under warranty and I did the install for something simple. More complicated stuff goes back to the dealer for warranty.

A banjo fitting typically seals with copper washers, they're pretty easy to fix even if the line itself has to be changed.

Almost 1000 hours on mine now.

Ya I could of fix it myself replaced a few in the past. My nephews son has business started selling tractors a few years ago (no discount for being kin) so I went to him when I bought it. There are dealers around me much closer but I took it back to him. Suppose to be repaired this week.

Well it will be going back to the shop agin. Got a hrydaulic leak somewhere on rear axle. Looks like it is coming from top right side of rear axle housing. Leaks enough where it will leave a pubble on the floor in the shop. Also notice on the fuel filter where they replaced the leaking fuel line that on the left side toward front of tractor the line has a kink in it. Maybe they caon loosen banjo fitting and get the kink out of the hose. Since it is going back and it only has 46 hrs on it I will let them correct it. Also going to ask them about noise when you turn steering wheel does it more turning right than left.

Is this normal for new tractors now days to have things get out that to me should be corrected before they ship them. I sold my 2000 Kubota M6800 that I had for 20 yrs and other than normal maintenance had no problems. I think this will be the second time this will be back to dealer. I told him I was just getting ready to do the 50 hrs maintenance on it an he said they would do it at no cost to me. Beginning to wonder how this thing is going to hold up. I wonder if I should of just spent a little extra and bought a Kubota. Reason I wanted a cab other than getting older is that one day I was shredding in pasture and went over some bees that were in the ground. They were flying around tractor but for some reason none of them stung me.

It appears your nephew's son doesn't have a competent service department.
