Tractor
Ls xr4145
I lost my right eye in a car wreck a little over 4 years ago. Hooking up implements to my tractor has been frustrating to say the least. So after shelling out money for a new LS XR 4145 I decided to add a backup camera. I called camera source and ordered a 7" weather proof monitor and a hd infarred Sony camera. It's mounted looking down on the lift arms. You can definitely see to hook up, but it doesn't allow me to line up on the implements before I'm right on top of them. So I bought another camera (monitor will support you to 3). The second camera looks straight back and is perfect for lining up on the implements and when you get close just hit a button on the monitor and swap to the down facing camera. It has made my life so much easier. Also the back looking camera is great for driving on the highway!

I feel it's my duty to inform you when you boast of improvements like this, photos and links are required. :)

I've had a rear facing camera on my tractor for a little while but haven't got much use from it until recently. I am supposed to wear a distance improvement of +250 but I rarely do. I can't clearly see the monitor without them though. I keep some +275 glasses in my pocket which is the minimum I require for reading. Driving or operating equipment my vision is clearer without glasses than it is with the reading strength. I recently came across some full lens +250 safety glasses and put a set in the storage compartment on my tractor. Now when I get on I take my readers out of my pocket and put on the safety glasses. With those I can see the camera monitor clearly and it helps a lot. Especially when I'm on the road which is seldom but happens from time to time.

Installing a second camera is a great idea.

I just used a cheap one but it's under a canopy and the tractor is kept under a shed.

I've had camera on my CUT for quite a while now.
I venture to say it won't be long before they are standard on most CUTs.
Makes marketing sense as for a mere few $'s (at cost) they can offer profitable options just the way all cors now have all those built ins.

Great idea!! I'll bet it would work for a rear mounted snow blower, too.

YEP, that is why I mounted mine.

Contrary to their specs mine operates fine to the coldest of the coldest

I used magnets to mount both camera and display so that way if snagged they don't get damaged but simply flop over and dangle.

Definitely a worthwhile add on.

I finally found an HD cam system on Amazon, it comes with two cams and a monitor - I'm going to install on my Bobcat E42 excavator. Frequently I work in very tight quarters and its impossible to see on the right side. Usually I can swing the house for visibility but not always.

Here are a few upgrades I made earlier this year after I lost my 1742 in the flood That had only 80 hours on it (**** I loved that tractor) I replaced it with a 1755. I installed front and rear night vision cameras with the split screen that can handle up to 4 cameras. Then I also added A thermometer and humidity gauge and LED front rear and side work lights and dome light.View attachment 628817View attachment 628822View attachment 628818View attachment 628819View attachment 628820View attachment 62882120190722_195538.jpg20190722_174637.jpg20190722_210713.jpg
