Kubota L4310HST
Hi All,
I've priced the big name backhoes that are available in my area. They are pricey to say the least. Are there other brands that usually sell for less? Perhaps the brands made in Korea or China?
It would go on a Kubota L4310 using subframe mount. Projects include removing stone rows and burying the rocks, cleaning up several springs that have popped up in the last few years and trencing for water and electrical.

Thanks in advance,
Rich

I am very impressed with my Rhino 85, but it is not China made.

Koyker MFG makes loaders and backhoes. Made in South Dakota. I had a Koyker 160 loader on my last tractor and I feel it was well made... They have a website Koyker Mfg.. I actually emailed them the other day to see if they had a backhoe for my tractor and gave me a dealer that is 60 miles from me. He gave me a price on a Pto driven KB-75 for $7300 installed. They have pics and specs listed on their website but you can't deal with them direct. I guess it's up to the dealer in your area what they will charge you after their prfit is taken...

Take a look at the Korean made LITW 3-point backhoes, you can get a 6' 6" digging depth with a PTO pump and res. for about $ 4,700.00 and a 7'-6" digging depth for $ 5,200.00.They offer a frame mount you may have to modify a little to fit your tractor for about $ 300.00 more. They have swedish valves,USA hoses,JIC fittings, powder coated paint.Quality is very good, operates smooth. If you want more information or pics e-mail me or PM me,we can ship anywhere.Avaliable in Red or Black

If you'd like any 1st hand info on the LITW backhoe just ask. I have the 7'6" unit, really nice and works well. I just wish work wasn't so busy and I had more time to play (work) with it.

definitely stick to a frame mount. I have used 3pt mount hoes before and there is no comparison. Those LITWs look sturdy enough although I am not to crazy about the hose routing. From the prices I would think that isn't that much cheaper than a Kubota hoe. A PTO pump might give you more flow and that would be a good thing, but it would also make it more complex to mount/dissmount. That last part is important. I have owned two different tractor mount hoes over the last twenty years and the harder it is to mount the less you will want to use it...

You might do a serch for Prairie Dog backhoes. They are supposed to be a reengineered Woods made in eastern europe. Last time I looked they were just over $4000 for 3pt mount with pump and tank.

It is real easy to mount the pump, back up close enough and slip it on. The included pump has the locking collar to keep it on the pto. I have seen other pumps that needed to bungeed or otherwise kept from sliding off the pto. I do need to remove the pto shield first, but that is just 4 bolts and fairly quick to do ( I do put it back after I'm done with the hoe). It comes with a 2-part bracket to keep it from spinning that, I believe is intended for a Jinma and the part that should bolt to the tractor didn't fit. I use a c-clamp and I keep one clamped to the hoe for that purpose.

Thanks for all the replies. I wonder about making the mods to the subframe mount to fit my L4310? I'll be contacting the sellers of the LITW hoes and asking questions.
I've got rear hydraulic remotes so I really don't need the extra pump and reservoir.
I Googled Prarie Dog backhoes but did not find anything but a couple of references to them.
I used a 3pt hoe and it was too wiggly for me.
The last time I looked at hoes was a couple of years ago. I'll make all the calls to the local guys to get a reference and then expand to the LITW references.
Keep the replies coming. At this rate I just might get a hoe before year's end.
Thanks.
