I have been considering building a bucket that i can dig a little withl thinking like a tree spade or stump bucket. I was at the scrapyard saturday and saw 2 backhoe buckets. One is a trencher. 16" wide or so and the other about 24" wide. I was thinking that most of my work is done if i can adapt the 24" to my ssqa. I have a jd2520. What does everyone think. .45 cents a pound for the bucket.

Thanks

I am all for putting a smaller bucket on a compact tractor. My Kubota came with a 54inch and I built a 48 inch. It digs much better in the tough stuff now. I use the 54 inch for Snow or light jobs and the 48 inch for digging and rocks.
