TYM 330
I have a TYM 330 with their backhoe setup. The problem I have is the the backhoe frame passing under the transmission makes contact with a poorly placed hydraulic hose connection on the transmission. This is on the right side of the tranny. Any movement from the backhoe frame causes a nasty leak. I can tap the hydraulic hose connection and the leak will almost stop. Need to get it repaired but my dealer went out of business. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Similarly, on the right side, under the step is a series of hydraulic valve/hose connections. Originally the were situated vertically and often would be sit/bumped while working and I would loose hydraulics. The dealer installed them horizontally and I've not had another problem with them since.
Overall I do like the tractor. Awesome workhorse.

Welcome to the forum! Is there a way to loosen and turn the connection a little bit? If it's a straight line connection, maybe get a new line with a 90 to reroute it a little bit? My local napa makes hydraulic hoses in store with whatever fittings and lengths I need. It sounds like it's loose and able to move. Tightening it may help, as well as tightening the backhoe frame as it shouldn't have play. I've never been close enough to a backhoe attachment to know exactly what you are talking about, but I think this should help. Again, welcome to the forum. This is a great place to get the answers you need, as well as share your knowledge.

ten7,
What is yours a hydro or gear? I am going to head out and take a peak at mine? Don't recall ever seeing a potential problem like that. I went over mine with a fine tooth comb and have done all the service so far. I never liked the hosed by the right step for the front loader very bad design. When I got mine I had a couple of dripping leaks from them so I moved them and added some protective material so they would not rub on the subframe and tie wrapped them tight to the step with material in between . I have my loader valve swapped out now with a mounted one on the loader frame using a direct connect to valve joystick. I still have the hoses but I am gong to get them shortened this year and hide them behind the subframe.
I hear you on the dealer out of business thing. My dealer went out himself I have 1 out of 3 businesses that were within 120miles from me left.
You should be able to fix it yourself or have a local dealer fix it for you.
Good luck and keep posting with updates.

Grut

I was concerned about hydraulic hoses on my 293 rubbing at various locations. I bought some appropriatly sized foam water pipe insulation at the local big box store. Cut short lengths of the insulation and placed them around the hoses at the chaffing locations. Used tie-wraps around each end of the insulation, to prevent it from moving. So far, it's worked great.

I have a 353HST and have not noticed any problems with the way the lines run. I will check the one on the right side, I don't know if it is an issue on my model but thanks for the heads up.

Well, I played with my tractor a bit today and no problem with any hydraulic lines on the 353. I used it to dig out my back blade and changed out my snow blower for it. Note to self, next year don't park the blade where the snow from the shop roof can bury it. We have only been getting 2-3" of snow per storm then rain it seems. I thought the back blade would help keep the ice down after the rain. I have been using my ATV with a blade to do most of the snow work this winter.

I have a 273 with the TYM backhoe. It sounds like it mounts the same as yours. I have noticed a big difference in frame movement (or the lack of) when insuring that the top link is tight. That pulls the whole backhoe assembly forward and snugs it into the mounting slot up front. When I don't get it tight enough, it bangs around and is noisy. Might help with your movement issue. I agree that the hydro lines are vulnerable down there when removing or replacing the b/h. Good luck.
