Hi,
Looks like there is some sort of extension on both ends, one at the bucket and one back behind the rear wheels.
I bet the tractor stays up on top of the car, and the backhoe scoops the load out and drops it over the side of the car.
I would go even farther, and bet the guy moves forward the whole length of the train, unloading car after car, before backing up [using the backhoe for push/pull] and climbing back down, reversing the operation it took to climb up.
It wouldn't surprise me if the climb up took less than 15 minutes for a guy that was used to doing it.
Not a job I want!!!! VERY scary...
