does anyone know what the standard positions of the levers are on a 4 lever backhoe control setup, we have an old hoe that we are putting a newer valve block on and im not sure that the levers were setup to the standard originaly, so i would like to set them up to the standard now when i change it, i have found diagrams of the 2 joystick setups but not the lever type setups

I ran one of these for a summer while in college....so this is "only" from 20 year old memories:

Sitting in seat starting from left to right:

1st is in(toward you) for boom in....out for boom out
2nd is in for bucket crowd.....out for extend
3rd is in for stick in and out for stick out
4th is in for swing left and right for swing right

Hope this helps.......

Double T You must have run an old Ford hoe. I have a 75 Ford 3550 hoe that has a the 4 stick control the former owner made it like Case controls with the left one bucket the nect one stick the third one boom and fourth one swing in the original Ford spot instead of on the floor. When we got the 4500 to use on a job it was set up like the mentioned and bear to get used to. I can hop from back hoe to excavator and crane controlls in seconds but that one just threw me. I used it on one job then sold it.
