I rented a Terramite backhoe years ago, 80's, and it should have been filmed! But it seemed like if you pushed both levers out, the bucket went out. so it was fairly easy to learn for a complete newbee. Later I rented JD 410 and 310's and they were the same, and the concrete Co I worked for had all JD's, so I am pretty proficient on them now, I'd say. A super on a concrete job let me use another Subs CAT to dig a footing, It was not real bad, but the boys had to stay away from the bucket! Just rented a JD 310 and the controls were set to Excavator...that was ugly. The switch had the label worn off.
