Tractor
kubota 2710
I just completed my homemade backhoe (Plans by P.F. Engineering) for my Kubota 2710 tractor. I was wondering if there are any standardized operations for the valves on my control body. Right now I have the two center valves operating the outriggers, right and left respectfully. The two outside valves, on right side of the block (as viewed from the operators seat) are joysticked together and control the bucket curl and dump, and arm swing left/right. The two outside valves on the left side are also joysticked together and control the boom up/down and crowd arm in/out. Are these controls correct or is it a matter of personal preference? In other words, do the controls on say a JD backhoe match those of a Woods backhoe, so if one were to jump on a tractor with the JD backhoe and was used to a Woods backhoe, would the controls be similar to each? It wouldn't be too hard to change lines to match any standards out there. Thanks for any input.

The chances are that there is no standardization between different makes. There was a thread about it on here just a few days ago.:)

Here are two different patterns.

Thanks for the info. I'll see which one will be the easiest one to implement on my hoe. I'll also look for the thread Egon spoke of.
