I have a 2015 4WD with the 2710. My tires are loaded, as I do a lot of other things with the 2015 that really require the extra weight.
The 2710 is a serious digging machine that is very well built. I bought mine with a 16 inch bucket, and I have no problem digging hard clay with lots of big rocks. As for the 8-foot digging depth, I've never measured it, but I know I've dug a number of holes at least 6-foot deep without any problem.
As stated above, it is fairly easy to put on and take off. Just the two pins to hold it on, and three hydraulic hoses to connect. One hose goes to the FEL controls. A hose gets removed from the PB hydraulic block on the bottom of the tractor, and a backhoe hose connects in its place. The removed hose from the PB block connects to the third hose from the backhoe. That's it. I'm sure there are others who can do it faster than me, but it generally takes about 15-20 minutes to put it on, or take it off. I do remove the 3-point hitch arms, but that is just pulling three clips on each arm.
I bought my backhoe about a year after I bought the tractor. My dealer picked up the tractor one afternoon and had it back to me the next morning with the backhoe installed. They also installed a tooth bar on my loader bucket -- another invaluable tool.
Good luck. I don't think you would be making a mistake in buying it. I've found my extremely useful.
