Hello folks, looking to put a backhoe on my 2510.
One dealer quoted 8k another 7k.

No way I can come up with that all at once so I was going to piece it together as the money comes.
Wanted to buy the frame than the hoe etc...
No place seems to want to sell just the frame by itself. Anyone have a source?
Ya I could build one but I have way to many projects as it is.

Cant believe how much these things are...
Used ones are crazy money here in the north east even for junk.
Looked into another manf, Woods doesn't make a frame for a Ck2510...

I have so much work to do on my land up north paying someone isnt realistic, renting for a week is1k and I don't have a trailer...
I looked at buying a mini ex but again crazy money for something thats beat, and unless you really know these things you can get something with problems....

I suppose it comes down to building a frame and than finding a decent used backhoe thats the right size and jerry rig it up...
What have other 2510 owners been doing in this situation?

Jerry

Check out Rhino backhoes, they were the "factory" hoe in 2003. My CK20 came with a Rhino 65 (6.5 ft dig depth), I had dealer move it to my new CK2510 cab tractor, when I bought it. Found out it was a big P.I.T.A. with the cab. So I switched it back to the CK20 in an afternoon. Mine is the PTO model btw, which is nice because I have more power on the hoe at 1/4 throttle than hydraulic models running off tractor hydraulics. And use much less fuel than running at full throttle! BTW if you don't have the power beyond or rear valves They cost a lot to be added even if you can do work yourself, another advantage for PTO pump on hoe.

Not sure if that's true.
I run an 8 1/2' backhoe (Rhino 85) on my DK 35 using the tractor hydraulics and only run 1/4 to 1/2 throttle or so . Around 2000 RPM gives me all the speed I need.

A Kioti KB2375, 7.5 foot, on a CK30hst and I run 1500-1800rpm and plenty of speed. PTO pump models usually cost more. That's a big jump in price since I bought mine in 2005 for $5500 which included the subframe.

Backhoes have gone up a lot since I bought mine.
I found a great deal about 3 hours away on my Rhino 85 backhoe in 2003.
Brand new Rhino 85 (8 1/2' backhoe) still bolted on the crate included sub frame ,mount brackets and 18" bucket (I finish final assembly and mounting), Hose kit to plum into the hydraulics, $5200 before tax

I can't speak to price since I bought my BH with the CK2510 and FEL allin for $20k.

As far as rpm, I BH at 1800. Enough power to move the whole tractor around.
