Backhoe backhoe hydraulic power

Where are your backhoe hydraulics conncected?
On my B7800 my Woods backhoe is connected to the 3pt hitch hydraulics. I don't have as much speed moving the backhoe as I would like. Can't raise boom and curl in the arm at the same time.
Dealer has checked and said it's normal?
Any opinions?

I have a Woods 9000 on a L3130 using a remote and everything works ok. Sounds like you may be on the low side of the hydraulic flow requirement.

For example if my tractor is idling I can't lift the boom and curl the bucket at the same time. The bucket doesn't move, or doesn't appear to move, until the boom is up. The fluid takes the path of least resistance.

What RPM's are you running tractor when operating the BH? My Kubota BH will only run one cylinder at a time below 2000 RPM's.

If your trying to raise the boom.. curl the bucket & bring in the dipper arm then no it won't happen...not three things at once, maybe on larger units.
I have noticed on my BH75 it doesn't like doin three things at once.

Mine are ran off a separate PTO pump. If you want to do severel things at once it depends on the Gpm of the pump. Some put out around 12 GPM at a given pressure and I've seen some that can put out about twice that at the same pressure.

I'm running at full recommended rpm for implements, don't remember the exact number.
I'm only trying to do 2 things at once one on each joy stick.
Say lift the boom and bring in the arm, one will complete then the other will move. If I very verly lightly feather the controls I can move both at once.
I think the dealer should have sold me a pto driven pump with this backhoe.

Sounds like it's working like it's supposed too. My uneducated opinion is, when giving a control lever full throttle, the first one in the series will get the power. That's why the swing motion is so fast and difficult to control. I repeat, this is my opinion from using my bh, I don't know for a fact.

You need more flow is all, I do multiple functions all the time. One function at a time would just be slow, frustrating and uproductive to me. If my tractor did not have enough flow to do at least two functions at the same time I'd get a PTO pump that would.

I will get a PTO pump if that will solve the problem. Just want to know ahead of time that adding a pump will change the way the backhoe works.
The kubota and Woods specs seem to incidate enough flow, yet both Woods and Kubota seem to favor using a PTO pump.
When I can find the time I'm going to go back to the dealer and drive another B7800 with backhoe.

I have B7610 with a Woods BH6500 - run off of the tractor hyd system no separate pump.

At lower RPMs the BH hydraulics are sluggish, I must say that i am not good enough yet to do 3 movements at once but I can operate the boom/curl/dipper any 2 combinations of the 3 without a problem.

BUT I can't swing & operate any other motion simultaneously I thought this was a safety feature and I don't really have any need to operate the swing & another motion simultaneously so I was never really concerned.
