Backhoe hydros for a 3pt log splitter

Can someone tell me if backhoe hydro supply lines can be hooked up to power a 3pt log splitter?

Yes they can. Are they suitable and do they supply enough flow to not make the job overly tedious? That is another question that is more difficult to answer, which is why many prefer a dedicated machine with a small gas mower and a two stage pump or a PTO driven pump which will supply much more flow than the tractors pump will.

Yes I have been doing this for 10 years with the BH attached - I connect the splitter to the front bucket and run the lines to the BH connection - is a 5 min job to connect/disconnect plus I can use the BH and thumb for holding and cutting the log lengths.

I believe I have around 8GPM on the BH connection - doesn't run real fast, but fast enough for me.
