Here is a drawing of my proposed backhoe mount.
The Black part mounts to the tractor and ties into the loader subframe and the axle brackets of my 1529. The red portion stays on my LITW backhoe and connects to the backhoe 3pt mounting connections.
Any comments or suggestions for improvement are welcome.
Thanks, Frank

Do you have a backhoe you are making fit? Is this why you need mounts?

Yes I purchased a LITW 7601 backhoe, The Massey backhoe and mount was just too pricy. I don't want to mount it with the 3pt so I'm trying to design my own frame mount.

I know, but I assume it just replaces the existing loader subframe with a new subframe that has the backhoe mount. Connecting to the existing subframe should serve the same purpose.
I'd really like to see some pictures of the Massey 1529 mount, but I can't find any on the net. I did find the woods mount manual and that is how it works.
There is really a shortage of info for the 1529 1532 I guess because they are new models.

Started building the tractor half of my backhoe mount
Once I get it all mocked up I'm going to take it and have it professionally welded.
Now I have a few options that I'm looking for opinions on.
My plan it to weld the lower brace to the existing loader frame brace. Does anyone think this is necessary or will the 2 bolts on the bottom be enough.
Second I have some options for a top brace, the woods backhoe mount has a new 3pt top link plate that extend out to the backhoe mount and bolts both side together.
option 1 would be running a piece of heavy 3" angle iron between the two sides and bolting it to the 2 upper holes above the PTO shaft. It would require some minor changes to how the PTO shield is mounted but nothing major.
Option 2 would be braces from the upper ROPS mounting bolts this would tie the mount into the top of the axle but would not tie the 2 sides together. This might make it a little harder to line everything up when installing the finished product, but I should only have to do it once.
Option 3 would be both option 1 and 2

Opinions please,
Frank

Well it finally warmed up enough to get back out in the garage. All the way up to -10 today.
I've added the side brackets and top brace to my backhoe mount now I just need to decide on pin locations, but I think I'll start on the backhoe half before I do that.
Here's a pic of the progress. Every thing clears the 3 point, I just have to take the lift arms off to install and remove the mount. Once it's done it won't have to come off again.
Any and all comments or ideas for improvement are welcome.
