Greetings guys, listen: I've had a couple small strokes, effected control of my right foot And some Memory is lost!

Up date: There was a pin ! I removed the pin! Lowered the boom !

There is no lift, I can't raise it back up!

And there is fluid coming out of the fill ,

I have the back panel off exposing the back of the valves, for the top I need metric alen wrenches, daughter doesn't have those here,y tools are up at my place in a valley near Tahoe, might have swhat I need at the ranch here in Nevada, I'll check tomorrow, only about 18 miles from here,,,
Thank you for helping me think😊

Yes the Tractor has been exposed to the weather for years sorry to say,,,

Could be that fluid is coming out of the fill because the system was overfilled after you added fluid. Could also be that something is not letting the fluid complete its circuit since the boom won't raise up and so the fluid is just flowing back instead of completing its circuit.

When I was working on my tractor loader, another member reminded me that hydraulic systems can inject fluid into the body causing serious injury or death if the wrong thing is touched at the wrong time. Please be careful.

I really hope you're able to get this resolved; I can't offer any advice, just words of support.

Ok guys, I found it thank God🙏

The ball on the lower end of the lever arm that actually pushes the valve down has broken off, the backhoe can be operated with the cover plate off because the lever can be pulled further back , my touches are up on the mountain, I have only a wire feed at the lower ranch, I'll see what the tractor shop down here can do might be reasonable,

I really appreciate your thinking with me I was unsure of myself😊
God bless you,,

Wonderful! I'm happy to hear that you were able to figure out what the problem was!

The problem I found is described in my last post😊

I hope you have verified the unit is full of hydraulic oil. Some hydraulic pumps don't survive cavitation well.

How many is a couple of years? Where are you located and does the tractor pull down when you engage the valve? I'm going to guess you checked fluid levels and physical conditions. You said hot summers, how hot and where was it sitting , In the direct sun?

Check for Safety ass'y holding it in place. m5guy is wise.

By the way guys when I pull back on the lever to raise the upper part of arm the pump is struggling to move fluid an the ram extend about 1/2"
Just curious, with everything you are saying, have you xhecked your hyd filter and hyd levels? Really sounds like you are really low on fluid or partially blocked in filter.

The first thing to check on the backhoe is if all the quick couplers are tight. If you have a coupler which is not fully engaged, that will restrict flow to zero or almost zero and it is not easy to see. Just to be sure, take off all quick couplers and reconnect to eliminate that as a problem before you do any further work. May not be the problem, but takes 5 minutes and could save you lots of work. Post on safety lock pin is a good one, too. There is usually a vertical lock pin.

OP already found the problem just needs some linkage welded /fixed

Glad to hear the root cause has been identified and looks to be a not to complicated fix.
