I had the backhoe off the tractor for the winter. I hooked up the backhoe and I can't get any of the hydraulics to work on the backhoe. The 3pt hitch and bucket work fine. Connections to backhoe are fine. There is a small leak somewhere(?) on the backhoe, which I guess over the course of the winter could have drained all the fluid out of the backhoe, but I've read on the forum that if I cycle the controls on the backhoe enough that I should be able bleed the system. Well, I ran all the controls on the backhoe for about 15-20mins but I can't get anything but a little jerking(about a half inch) on one of the controls. The bucket and 3pt hitch still work fine.

One last thing, could switching around the two hoses on the backhoe(swapping the coupling male & female fittings) that connect to the tractor male/female fittings cause a problem? I say this because I needed to remove the two couplers on the backhoe to get some extensions made up and I'm not sure I put them back on the same way I took them off.

Yes that could. Always check the last change that was made.

The hydraulics for my backhoe are run from one of the rear remotes. Therefore I have to use a bungee cord to keep one of the levers activated so the backhoe works.

That's it! I had put the couplings back on the wrong sides. Worked like a charm once I switched them back over. Who ever designed the stock lines on that tractor should be fired. It is impossible to connect the lines without an extension if your tractors backhoe is at an odd angle.
