Backhoe Price?

Has anyone purchased one separately?

I called my dealer and got a quote for $6,800 + tax "9.45%" & freight for a LB1106 12" BUCKET.

Good/Bad/Reasonable?

Mine was $8200 for an LB2104. That included tax and freight to Alaska. We pay thru the nose for everything. My dealer swapped out the 12" bucket for a 16" and delivered tractor and all for free.(260 miles round trip)! Also included engine oil and a complete set of filters for the 50 hour service. I was one very impressed old codger.

Well just guessing a freight charge would be around 300, that would put the total around $7,800

I paid $6.500 plus our state tax for a LB2104 a year ago. that was installed and they came and got my tractor and brought it back, 20 miles each way, so 80 miles total. They had quoted me that price earlier and when I went to order it he said it was $6.700, and I told him "you quoted me $6.500", and he honored that price. I think they may have gone up in price just before I ordered it, but the dealer stood by the price he quoted and ate the difference.

Not sure of the differences in the models...seems a little steep for the Lower 48. Maybe the tax is what jacked up the price. Not really sure if I paid any tax or not...nothing was broken down like that.

I would definitely call around and get quotes, even out of state. Don't enjoy getting bent over on deals and am happy to pay a fair mark-up and for above average service.

Hopefully, the rest of the Forum will pipe up with better info than I have. I am a Newby, with no experience at all with compact tractors and equipment.

My dealer went a different route and was installing the Wallenstein BH's on the larger cut tractors. Not exactly sure why, maybe more reach? but it was $9k extra.

When I was considering a new LS, I wanted a BH, but the LS unit for the 4xxx series I was looking at looked like it belonged on the 3xxx series tractors... I ended up in a used MF instead, but I got a used Bradco backhoe for it, which was much more cost effective than buying any new BH. I had to make the mounting system, but for most newer tractors, Bradco has mounting systems. If they have one for your tractor, buying a used Bradco backhoe becomes an option. Most of them use the same mounting pattern between the BH and the mounts, even between skid steer and tractor units.

It's an idea if the price of a new LS BH is a bit tough to take.

FWIW, I was quoted ~$7k for a Ansung BH (labelled Branson) through the local dealer. The LS dealer wanted $6500 for their backhoe. Normal dealer markup is about 20%, so figure you might be able to get them to come down 10% from the initial quote...

Wow, big price difference, I'm looking at the one in this link, but it doesn't say recommended horsepower.

Guess I'll send them a msg.

Nice price. I'd talk to a Titan Dealer or directly with Titan for horsepower and hydraulic needs. May be a great unit.

I price one for my Kioti in 2014 and it was 7500 put on. Your price sounds good.
