I have only 37 hours on my 1528. I believe the backhoe model is a DC10. I am in the process of digging post holes in our rock based Delaware County, NYS soil. Have broken two teeth off so far. Never found the first one. The replacement teeth slide over a smaller solid tooth and are then welded in place top and bottom. Today, while digging, a tooth peeled back 180 degrees and was left attached by the remaining weld. Replacement teeth are only about $20. but this is beginning to frustrate me. Does anyone else experience this issue? Are there any bolt on teeth available like on the BX models? Thanks for any help or input.

You proably have the light duty bucket that the teeth just weld on the bottom side correct? You can either get the replacement shanks for the heavy duty bucket that kind of sandwich the bucket edge or weld a piece of steel to create the same effect on your current shank.
As for the replacement tips, just weld them all the way around. It'll take a while to wear them to need replacement. Then it will just take a little longer to cut them off.

The teeth are welded both top and bottom. With the latest, only the bucket side weld broke and folded the tooth back. It well may be the light duty bucket. I will be talking to the dealer in the next day or two. Thanks.
