Bad 2005 953C Cat Crawler Loader

Hi,

I bought a 2005 Cat Loader used from a company out of S.Carolina. It was advertised that it had a new under carriage, new paint and that everything was in working order...The owner even told me that everything was worked on as needed and, it's ready to work.

They ran the machine for us on a video but, that's only 2-3 mins video.

Ever since we owned the machine, it died on us the very first hour, it turns out to be bad Fuel filter, then the next time within an hour, the lines/hose went bad, we replaced it.

Then the next hour, it blew black smoke and engine started knocking and now, it locked up the engine...Cat had came out several times on site and now, they suspect that it's a bad fuel injector but, it may cause engine to go bad as well...

Is there a lemon law that protects me? What are my rights???

We paid $70,000 for the machine and it has not even ran for 2-3 hrs and I'm not even sure what my Cat bills are???

We had wired the money to the Co prior to them delivering the machine to us.

Unless they gave you a warranty, it's a taillight warranty and that's as soon as the tail lights disappear it's all yours. Bad deal your having to deal with all these headaches.

Sorry to hear but at this point you have no choice but to suck it up and open up your wallet. Because you ran it for that hour you are liable for the repairs. They will argue that you did not do a proper inspection etc.
We all get stung some more than others. I have stories I can tell, but know I have been where you are.
You're probably into repairs of $10K-20K and I hope it's only a few K.
