I looked at the bad boy maverick at TSC. Best I remember, the engine wasn't commercial grade.
I ended up buying a Kubota diesel and have been pleased

They offer a HUGE range of engine choices. From Kohler, Kawasaki, Vanguard, Honda, Yamaha, Perkins, Briggs and probably others. Most of the engines in their 'commercial' series are the same models that the other big name zero turn manufacturers use. I can't speak to the Maverick model specifically, but maybe since it was one offered at Tractor Supply it was a lower end. That's the great thing about Bad Boy, you can choose from a wide range of models and options to get the config you need.

TSC doesn't carry the commercial models (at least around here).
You were looking at a residential model.
