BAD DESIGN?

was going to help the neighbor out today, told him i needed some stuff moved first, but seems he got a friend to do it, so i went to watch. seems like the friend not only kept his tractor lubricated, but he was well lubricated also /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif he was banging into trees and just creating a mess. but as i was watching i noticed that every time he made a sharp left turn, his left front tire would rub on the hydraulic hoses. mentioned it to him, and he said , yep he knows., WHY would any body design a tractor where the hoses would be rubbed by the tires? This is a majior name brand.

Just curious, but is it possible that the hoses were routed improperly when the loader was installed? Or possibly it was a retrofit with replacement hoses?

My 1925 NH did the same thing to the right with my 7308 loader. Not sure if it is bent bracketry or what, but a 45 degree fitting added in cured it for me.

My TC29D comes close but I always tie the hoses up any way. I don't like them rubbing against the side of the tractor. Just me being a bit fussy.

Don't be fooled into thinking about bad design when poor assembly is doing its best to get your attention by masquerading as bad design. If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, by golly it must be a duck.

i mentioned to the guy and he said he know and the dealer was going to put some kind of strap on it to help hold them up, did not really get a chance to look it over close but do know if it was MY machine it would be rectified POST HASTE. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
