Bagger cost shock

Anybody tried a mulcher set up? If I get a BX2200, I'll expect to install mulcher style blades, etc.. Made a big difference on my Deere 345 - no raking /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif, of course, if a bagger is intended for leaves, I always left leaves where they fell.

PCMEM,

Thanks, I have also tried that. It works fine on removing, but I didn't have much luck installing. I always mount/dismount it in my garage floor that is level and solid as well.

I mostly use my bagger for when I let the lawn get too high, and of course the leaves in the Fall (can't beat it for those).

I also am impressed by the European version with the clam shell, but suspect that would be even more costly.

I have the mulching kit and blades on mine, it does a decent job,not as good as a walk self-propelled mulcher though . Of course, if You have used one before ,You know you will have to slow it down some and make sure the grass is dry.

The mulching blades are a little over $40.00 and the kit is over $200.00, The kit does not include blades.
I had mine put on before delivery and mow about every three days.
I am going to the Dealers to order a set of blades tomorrow and will be glad to let You know the exact price if You want to know.(mine is the 60" deck)
