Got a new 360 with a bagger the summer of 2010. Went to use it the other day and had a hard time keeping the top of the bagger latched, when it comes undone it lets grass and leaves come out the back of the bagger. My old bager had a rubber latch and this new one has a plastic lever. Is anyone familiar with this latch? Or does anyone have a idea to fix? I know I can probably purchase a new latch just thinking the new one is going to do the same thing.

Can you post a pic? Not sure which "bagger" or latch you refer to here.

Maybe something bent?

my latch broke on it's second season of use but I put 40 hours a year on it. check to make sure the bottom part of the latch is still there. I never had any trouble keeping the cover latched and then all of a sudden it wouldn't stay down.

the latch on the top cover should be fine it is the piece on the bottom that the latch holds onto that broke. The housing is all one piece. So you need a new housing or you can fabricate a small plate that extends the steel tube far enough to catch the latch.

mine was fixed by the dealer under warranty after some complaining and they did not replace the housing they just bolted a piece of steel onto the steel tube to catch the latch

Same problem on my mother in law's GX335. It definitely needs a firm push down to latch. The rubber strap worked much better on her old 185, and luckily that is in my barn now :D
Maybe you could come up with something using a bungy cord?

Looked at my fathers x300 which has the same bagger. I notice the rubber/foam gasket that fit inside the top of the bagger. Remembered that mine came off this spring when I last used the bagger. So I replaced it and noticed that they come off fairly easy. Was wondering if they can be glued on or may screwed on?

my molding where coming off after the first couple of hours. I glued them back down with yellow weatherstripping glue. they haven't come off since and I have 125 hours on the tractor.
