Baled a small piece today

I baled approximately 2 acres today, not much of a yield, just 108 small square. Had the first solid run with the baler this season with no bales coming apart.

What kink of irrigation do you use? I have maybe a 1-1/4 ac. alfalfa in E. WA state (dry desert area) and have solid set sprinklers with risers about 6' tall, mounted to Tie Posts. They are set in approximately 53' square, so I have to mow and rake and bale around the riser posts. You don't have anything to Mow around, nice clean field. That was what jumped out at me with your picture. bjr

Thanks for the post and the pic. I used to bale a lot of hay "back in the day" I wish I could bale some today.

No irrigation bjr, just Mother Nature. I wish we had irrigation, this summer has been unseasonably dry for us. I've been hoping for rain this week. I have another piece behind the house I'm going to get a second cut off, it'd be nice to get some rain on it.
