use-Enco.com was one of the few places I could find the 90" blade my Kalamazoo uses. Ended up with an Irwin Bimetal which seems to cut pretty good. Found a 'coupon code' online for free shipping. :)

bimetal blades are best u can buy them to any size they last very long are more expencive but worth it, i use to buy 100ft coiles and weld the blades, was tough to weld.

I'm still using the Enco blade I bought a year or two ago.

I'v done them work some guys try but don't get them straight.

After making them for 30 years Ive gotten pretty good at it.

Having a good welder on the saw that jaws are in line is critical.

The grinder on the machine should be only used for blades kept flat and square on the end.

Inverting half the blade to grind end is important.

Getting the correct crush (with excess material for weld is tricky and different on different machines and blade sizes/ widths.

Proper annealing just as important as all the above.

The correct grinding go's a long way too.

I think for a metal cutting band-saw, tooth count and proper alignment is more important than brand of blade or metal content.

The six-dollar blade that has been on my saw the last three years has made many many cuts and is still going strong.

They last me so long that I forget just what they are; I will have to look at the box the last one came in that is hanging on the wall so I will know what I use.

On any type of band-saw, whether floor-model wood-cutting band-saw, metal cutting band-saw, or band-saw mill, if a blade breaks during use, it is already full of stress cracks and should not be welded back together, as it will just break again at a different spot.

I am a firm believer in the TimberWolf blades for my band-mill and wood-working band-saw; I have not yet had reason to try them on my metal saw.
